Martin Braun

It was 1964, in Karlsruhe, Germany that Master Watchmaker Martin Braun was born. Martin graduated form Pforzheim's School of Watchmaking in 1983 with honors. His final exam consisted of a modernistic table clock with eight day movement, date, Republican calander (French system in use from 1792 to 1806), accurately running moon phase, and an equation of time that he developed himself.
In 1991, Martin Braun teamed up with his father, Karl-Christian Braun, and began creating mechanical masterpieces in the beginning of the mechanical renaissance. The two mastered the art of restoration and complicated mechanisms by restoring vintage timepieces from Pforzheim.Martin Braun created the EOS model and unveiled it in November 2000. The EOS shows the times of sunrise and sunset.
