F.P.Journe

Invenit et Fecit is the latin motto of F.P. Journe, meaning I invented, and I made it. Francoise-Paul Journe was born in Marseilles, France, in 1959. He graduated in 1976 from the famous watchmaking school in Paris, Ecole d'hologerie.
His appreciation and understanding of late 18th and early 19th century's timepieces came from his uncle Michel Journe while working at his workshop. His knowledge of the Louis XVIII resonance clock, known as the Breguet double regulator No. 3177 made in 1819, would be the premise for his first watch introduction to the world under his own brand name, the Chronometre a Resonance.
