Uncle, Gaston Ries, and his nephew, Renee Bannwart, founded Corum in 1955, in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland. The company made a name for themselves, in 1964, when they unveiled the $20 dollar gold piece wristwatch. One of their most known watch models is the Admiral's Cup.
