Ok watch lovers, the time is just about here when thousands of watch enthusiast’s from around the globe flock to Basel, Switzerland, for the annual event known as Baselworld. For those of you not yet in the know on just what exactly is Baselworld, let us elaborate. Baselworld is the biggest watch event in all of the world. It is where dealers, enthusiast’s, manufacturer’s, and collectors all come together for 7 days of everything watches. Basically, Baselworld is the Super Bowl of events.
Just some of the things on the docket for this years events:
HUBLOT’s new Ferrari chrono tourbillion is the talk of the town. With much anticipation over it’s release, the Hublot Ferrari will be unveiled at this years opening ceremonies. Show me a watch lover who doesn’t have the same fascination with timepieces as they do for fast cars. Also with much expectancy, is the new ROLEX designs that will be rolling out in 2013. Along with the Hublot and Rolex unveilings, brands such as Aduemars Piguet, Franck Muller, Patek Phillipe, Vacheron Constantin, will launch new models, making this years event, one of the more memorable.
Many Independent watch companies are hoping to make their presence in the market felt, and Baselworld is were they will showcase their timepieces. People from around the Globe are salivating over the new designs, complications, and companies that choose Baselworld as there launching platform. Who can blame them, after all, the engineering and the craftsmanship gets better and more clever year after year.

Great walkthrough the GMT Master II’s. The 16710 (Coke) was the first Rolex watch that spoke to me. A coelglue of mine bought one a few years ago. It never left my mind. I bought the 116710 ceramic in january 2010. I have had the centerlinks brushed at my AD, looks fantastic. You left out the laseringraved Rolex Crown i the crystal at 6 o’clock.
