Hublot released its scratch resistant 18k gold alloy called ‘Magic Gold’ on Thursday 15th December to the world. In a recent press release, Hublot says its new ‘Magic Gold’ ‘eliminates the vulnerability of gold and its alloys.’
Normal 18-karat gold reaches a hardness of 400 on the Vickers hardness scale, however Hublots new gold reaches 1000 Vickers and is said only a diamond can scratch it.
The gold contains 750 parts pure gold as any 18-karat gold however includes ceramic which makes it the most durable gold in the world.
